Standing notice

Privacy notice

This is the whole of it. We run one email list and a static website, so there is not much to declare — but what there is, is written out below in plain terms.

Last updated 30 July 2026 · replaces the notice of 14 January 2026

Who is responsible

Alo Coupons is published by Rasa Vilkaitė and Tomas Andriuška, trading as a two-person publishing partnership registered in Lithuania. We are the data controller for everything described here.

What we collect

Your email address
Typed by you into the subscription box, or sent to us in a message. This is the only thing we ask for. We do not ask for your name, and there is no field for one.
Signup record
The date and time you subscribed, the page the form was submitted from, and the IP address the request came from. We keep this so we can show, if a mailbox provider asks, that the address on our list asked to be there.
Delivery and engagement data
Our email provider records whether an issue was delivered, bounced, opened, and whether a link in it was clicked. We use it to drop dead addresses and to see which entries readers found useful. We do not build profiles from it and we do not use it to target anything at you.
Messages you send us
Replies, tips and questions sent to contact@alocoupons.com, kept in the mailbox as ordinary correspondence.

What we do not collect

  • No analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, no third-party trackers on this website.
  • No cookies are set by this site. If you see a cookie from this domain, it is not one we asked for.
  • No payment data — the list is free and there is nothing to buy here.
  • No special category data, and nothing about children. The list is for adults doing their own shopping.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Your consent, given when you submit the subscription form, is the basis for sending you the weekly list. You can withdraw it at any time and we stop. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a working mailing list for the narrow technical parts: keeping the signup record, handling bounces, and stopping abuse of the form.

How long we keep it

  • While you are subscribed: your address stays on the list.
  • After you unsubscribe: your address moves to a suppression entry so that a later import cannot mail you again by accident. The suppression entry is a one-way hash of the address, held indefinitely, and it is not usable for sending. Ask us and we will delete it outright instead.
  • Signup records: kept for as long as you are subscribed, then twelve months.
  • Delivery and engagement data: kept ninety days by our email provider, then aggregated to counts with no address attached.
  • Correspondence: kept twenty-four months, then deleted.

Who else sees it

Two categories of processor, and no one else:

  • Our email delivery provider, which stores the list and sends the issues on our instruction under a data processing agreement.
  • Our website host, which serves these pages and keeps standard server logs.

We do not sell, rent, swap or lend the list. We do not pass addresses to the shops we write about — merchants named on this site never receive your address from us, and appearing on our list does not put you on theirs. Data may be processed on servers inside the European Economic Area; where a provider processes data outside it, that transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Getting off the list

Every issue carries an unsubscribe link in the footer. One click and it is done — no confirmation page, no survey asking why, no "are you sure". If the link ever fails, email contact@alocoupons.com with the word stop and we will remove the address by hand within two working days.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct it if it is wrong;
  • delete it;
  • restrict what we do with it, or object to it;
  • hand it to you, or to another provider, in a portable file;
  • withdraw your consent, which you can do yourself with the unsubscribe link.

Write to contact@alocoupons.com. We answer within thirty days and usually the same week — there are only two of us, and the mailbox is read by both. We may ask you to confirm you control the address before we send data to it.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled a request, you can complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija), L. Sapiegos g. 17, LT-10312 Vilnius, or to the supervisory authority in the country where you live.

Links out to shops

The list and this site link to merchant websites. Once you follow a link you are on their site, under their privacy policy and their cookies, and we have no control over what they collect. Some of those links are affiliate links, which means the shop can tell that the visit came from us — they receive a referral identifier, not your email address. This is set out in our terms of use.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to the list is limited to the two of us, protected by two-factor authentication, and we do not keep local copies of the list on personal devices. We are a small operation and we do not pretend to be bank-grade; we do keep the attack surface small on purpose, which is why there is no login, no comment section and no database behind these pages.

Changes to this notice

If we change anything that affects you, we will say so in the issue that follows the change and update the date at the top of this page. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
